ANSI (American National Standard Institute) quality standards. All
Johnson Hardware® systems are installed in a simulated opening to specified
maximum door weight then cycle tested. One cycle equals
one complete opening and one complete closing sequence. Commercial grade
hardware must exceed 100,000 cycles and residential grade hardware must
exceed 35,000 cycles to meet ANSI minimum requirements. Johnson Hardware®
exceeds ANSI standards.
