I built an exercise studio for my wife in our basement. She wanted a TV to watch while she works out. However the room is long and narrow and she didn't want to have her head turned to the side while she exercises. She asked if I could figure out a way to move the TV back and forth. I looked on the web and discovered that Johnson Hardware had a 16 foot track that would support the weight of the TV. I mounted the TV to a piece of plywood that I connected with a saddle bracket to the track rollers. I then designed a pully system that would keep equal tension on the HDMI and power cables routed in the cable track. My wife just pushed the TV back and forth to move it in front of her current exercise area.
