Unique sliding door system where track is intergraded into the jamb header allowing doors to be trimmed out to the same height as swinging doors eliminating odd sizing of rough openings, jambs and trim. Prefabricated Header is made in two widths, 4-9/16" [115mm] and 5-1/4" [133mm] to fit new or existing wall thickness. Header is made to slip into jamb dado without special cutting. The 2222 consists of extruded aluminum track and finish quality wood that can be painted or stained to match other woodwork, or aluminum track is available alone, enabling special woods to be used. Convex track rails provide one point contact between wheel and track. Hangers include one or two 7/8" [22mm] dia. molded nylon machine turned wheels  with three point locking plates. Hangers adjust without removing or relocating screws. Door guide adjusts laterally for quick plumbing. Nylon guide posts are 1" [25mm] high and swivel to allow warped doors to operate without binding.14 – 16 gauge zinc dichromate plated steel parts. Track lengths are available up to 192" [4877mm]. *Optional #2228 2-wheel hanger available for doors weighing up to 75 lbs (34 kg).

UNIQUE TRACK DESIGN

Convex track rails are designed to provide friction and have parallel dust catching traps. Rails are designed to prevent doors from jumping track.

BALANCED WHEEL HANGER

Machine turned and balanced wheels offer low roll resistance and smooth, quiet operation. Three point locking plates hold door securely without slipping yet allow precise adjustment. Standard 2238 single wheel hangers are tested for doors weighing up to 50 lbs. [23 kg.] each and 2228 heavy-duty twin wheel hangers are tested for doors weighing up to 75 lbs. [34 kg.] each.

ADJUSTABLE DOOR GUIDE

One piece metal guide plate adjusts laterally for quick and accurate plumb. Center guide and outside guide posts swivel automatically allowing even warped doors to glide smoothly without binding.

TESTED QUALITY

All Johnson hardware is rigidly tested to meet ANSI standards.
